Hello Jaycees, I have no current posts....

What is your New Year’s resolution? Do you have some goal in mind, perhaps improving your finances, losing weight, exercising more or some other ‘self-improvement’ project? As you’re looking for projects and activities that are attractive to your members, this is a great question (especially on your member surveys) to ask. If there are some common personal goals toward which your members are already striving, why not get creative and find ways to incorporate those resolutions into the personal and professional development projects your chapter runs. You may schedule an outstanding project on retirement planning, but if a number of your members are concerned about the stability of their jobs, or seeking work, that project may not suit their present needs. Perhaps several members answer that question with statements about spending more time with their family – this might be a great year to incorporate more family life projects.
I resolve to help your chapters find innovative ways to identify and implement the types of projects that help you recruit, train and retain your members. Especially now in uncertain economic times, there is no better organization than the Jaycees to help young people cultivate the skills that propel them to success and enable them to make an impact on their communities.
